“Mr. Kamal is nominated in ISIJ”

“Mr. Kamal Badr Chief Editor of IOL is nominated in ISIJ”

Dr. ( Rev ) S. Akbar Abbas Central President of ISIJ has confirmed the nomination of Mr. Kamal Badr Chief Editor of IOL, as a Member of the ”Executive Body” for ISIJ and an official representative for Egypt for next three years from January 2006 to 2009.

His nomination has took place on the vacant seat of Mr. Wahid Abdul Majeed a former Bureau Chief of “Daily AL: Hayat” in Egypt. Mr. Majeed was nominated in 1995 in ISIJ as well as he was the Country representative for Egypt in this society of Journalism.

Mr. Kamal Badr a newly nominated Member of Executive Body for ISIJ is a Senior journalist and Chief Editor for “Islam on Line” a world known International Website and News Paper in Cairo Egypt. His services are found in the best interest of Islam. Mr. Kamal is not only a well known Senior Journalist Internationally but also a highly educated and well experienced authority in Islamic Journalism. He is a Nigerian by birth but have settled in Egypt for his dedicated work for Islam and Journalism.

His aim is to work for the good of humanity, as Islam teaches us. To work to uplift the Islamic nation specifically and humanity in general. To support the principles of freedom, justice, democracy, and human rights. To reinforce values and morals on the individual, family, and community levels.

Also to expand the circle of introducing Islam; present its wholeness and the way its system and laws complement each other; to affirm its balance, fairness and applicability in all places and times; and present tolerance and the humanity of its laws. To strengthen the ties of unity and affiliation between the members of the Islamic community and support informational and cultural exchange. To expand awareness of important events in the Arab, Islamic and larger worlds. To build confidence and a spirit of hope among all the Muslims.

Mr. Kamal’s selection has been made due to his dedication in Islamic Journalism with objectivity, accuracy and passion for truth.
